Apparently Valve has no respect for customers or US patent law. Or maybe it's just the principle of "if you can engineer a good game, **** 'em all and make as much money as you can."

Valve games cannot be re-sold, thus eliminating any second market, say through Amazon or eBay. For comparison, imagine if you bought a used car that would not start because it was used. There are no labels to that effect on the box or by sellers, and you're just stuck. And you must have an internet connection to play (also not on the box). What you buy is basically download software and the permission to load their game on your computer. This is how valve does business. If you don't like it, you're stuck, because Valve customer service is abysmal.

I have stuck with the NHL 2K series over the last few years because the $19.99 price tag is tough to beat. That being said, I was more than a little disappointed with the transition from 2K9 to 2K10. It is quite literally the exact same game. I know they rush these games out early, and updates are available on-line, but the rosters did a poor job of reflecting off-season signings & acquisitions. AI feels the same, controls are identical, announcers repeat most of the same repetitive one-liners from last season, visual appearance is the same, and I think the music took a step back. When I purchase any sports game, I do so with the hope that it will build upon the previous year, move forward, and add a few new features. I don't think that was really the case here. I was disappointed to see that EA abandoned the PS2 this season, so it looks like I'm stuck with a near carbon copy of last year's 2K until I upgrade to PS3 at some point. I have tried to use this with my MS Combat sim 3 but I have not been able to get the programming of the toe breaks to work. The toe breaks seems to use the same signal as one aileron and one direction of the horizontal stabilizer. If I hit one of the toe breaks during flight I crash. It is very simple hardware and seems well built. Plug it right into a USB port and load the software and your ready to go. I have no idea why the program doesn't work with the combat flight sim 3. I purchased this game about 2 years ago and of course had to install it right away when i got home to try it out. Right away I found myself playing the game for hours and lost track of time. I love the way the seasons change in this game cause it can seem so realistic, especially during the summer to autumn seasons when the leaves on the trees change colors just like in reality. The winter season in the game is also beautiful with several small and even quite large snowstorms that can occur througout the season. One time when I was playing the game it was winter time and the little weather guy on the television was calling for heavy snow and sure enough it snowed hard one night and my sim kids school was cancelled the next day. The graphics and sound on this game are quite good and it was certainly worth the price I paid for the game. The only complaint I have about the game is that I feel the creators could have went a little farther with the weather features in the game such as in winter having sleet and freezing rain be a possibility and not just the snow. Overall I give this pc game 4 stars under the categories of graphics, fun, gameplay, and sound quality. I found this game in a used gaming store this past weekend. I've been studying Japanese for a while now (recently taking up the torch again) and thought it would be something fun at work.

It begins with a multiple question quiz and if you get two wrong together, it stops the quiz right there. I'm not certain if that is the best way to go about it. You might know 20 words and just get lucky or are just lucky to begin with. Regardless, where it stops is which lesson it begins you at. Everything up to then is considered "mastered" by the program.

There are (guessing) around 260 lessons and 12 games to play. As you get higher, you unlock more games and lessons.

The thing I loath about this is the writing. A lot of people have mentioned this (stroke order and whatnot) but I dislike it for another reason. I don't know about you but my handwriting on this types of things has always been horrible. There is no "clear" when you're doing the games and any accidental "touch" to the screen counts as a stroke. The game doesn't particularly care about "how" the character looks either, as long as it's in the right squares (the character input as four boxes.) They show you one way of stroke order, but I found I could put the characters in a different way. It's just frustrating.

The lessons are interspersed with the games and you can't go onto the next lesson until you've "mastered" the words in the lesson. You "master" by doing the games, which throws in all the words you've "mastered" with an emphasis on the words you've had that particular lesson. So, you don't really jump from lesson to lesson. There is some time inbetween.

Also, in the lessons, there are places were you can record your voice speaking the words to compare with a native speaker. You can even play them together for a more realistic gauge. If they do teach Kanji, I'm not at that point in the game.

Finally, it comes with a dictionary, phrasebook, a "where you are" section, and a sketchpad.

This is a nice game. It's not a one stop language learning kit but honestly, if you think you can find one, good luck to you. I bought this to take to work when I'm on my breaks and/or lunch. I think it's comparable to a language learning book.Get more detail about My Japanese Coach.

Persona was the first game I ever played on the Playstation 1, and I had never seen anything quite like it - before or since. I had played, and loved, many "save the princess" medieval-flavored RPGs, but I had never seen an RPG like Persona - so dark and yet so steeped in the "real" world. The high school in Persona felt more real and immediate to me than any dozen or so fantasy worlds; little touches like the variant personalities of your friends (loner, snob, air-head) which superficially hid deeper, more human traits simply blew me away.

Really, there's nothing about Persona that I didn't love. The plot is masterfully dark and human, and I emphasized strongly with Mary, an ill girl who struggles with feelings of anger and hopelessness as the world passes her by. The soundtrack is absolutely gorgeous, and again takes a more modern, dark twist over the light-hearted tracks of this RPG's fantasy counterpart. Even little touches like the varied battle-shouts, actual guns (!) used in battle against the demons, and the hilarious contact system which allowed you to bully, bribe, and barter with your enemies blew me away.

When they announced the re-release of Persona on the PSP, I couldn't pre-order fast enough. Partly for the joy of taking my favorite game of all time on the plane with me, but *mostly* for the newly restored "Snow Queen Quest" which, as a child, I was always distraught that Atlas hadn't released with the original game. And, in many - perhaps, MOST - ways, this is a textbook example of exactly how to re-release a game... for the most part.

First, I was pleased to note that the story has not been altered or changed. The original translation has been replaced, which is usually a pet peeve of mine, but the new translation matches up pretty well to the story I'm familiar with. New hints are dropped at the beginning regarding the Snow Queen Quest, which I do appreciate as it makes the new quest more immersive and less of an "add-on". The world map has been upgraded to more closely resemble the world map in Persona 2, and as the world map in Persona 1 was the *only* thing I didn't like about the game, this change is for the best. Everything else is largely unchanged - the graphics are largely the same, and seem subtly 'brighter' and more vibrant. The game cut-scenes are absolutely gorgeous, although it does seem a bit surprising that captions aren't offered as a choice in this day and age - I guess deaf people don't play video games or they get to have a friend translate the spoken-words in the cut scenes.

Really, though, in most ways that matter, this is the game I knew and loved. The Snow Queen Quest is a welcome addition (although the difficultly level is nothing to sneer at, and you pretty much *have* to power level your way through the game, which can take some of the fun out of it). Annoyingly, you do have to perform a Guide Dang It series of conversations before the SQQ will open up - it's not something that anyone will stumble into, I'm afraid, much like the original Guide Dang It actions for getting Chris (which were largely *possible* to stumble into... as long as you spoke to everyone _once_, but didn't speak to certain people _twice_, and of course, you had to deliberately seek out party members in order to turn them down when they asked to join!).

And the mention of Chris segues me neatly into my translation complaints. I know I'm going to get dinged for this, but I preferred the American names of the characters to the Japanese names and I'm sorry to have those names lost. I can remember which character is 'Mark' and which character is 'Mary', but trying to assign gender in my brain between two equally unfamiliar names like 'Maki' and 'Masao' is difficult to perform on the fly. And expecting me to remember the differences between 'Yuki', 'Yuka', and 'Yuko' is just unreasonable, and I say this as someone who watches more anime than most, I would wager. Also, am I the only one who doesn't understand why game companies will translate, say, the description of spells, but not the actual NAME of said spells? It's all well and good to tell me that a spell is cure spell, but why change the name from "Cure" (the English name in the original) to "Dia"? Having to learn all these arbitrary changes makes battle slow and cumbersome ("Dia" - was that the spell that cures people or the spell that raises 'diamond' defense walls?) and for what purpose? Don't even get me *started* on the new Persona names. I was equally disappointed to see that the Americanization of the characters has been discarded - the African-American character has reverted back to Japanese, and all the blondes, brunettes, and redheads have black hair again, making it tricky to tell them apart in battle, given that everyone has an identical school uniform on.

I also have to register a complaint with the soundtrack changes - the original Persona 1 had the most intensely awesome soundtrack ever, but what's with this new stuff? Most of it is good and fine, but the battle music is bloody TERRIBLE and it never seems to change up. It sounds like a pop-song from the Britney Spears era and if you think that hearing "Hit Me Baby One More Time" or the Japanese equivalent Every. Single. Battle. won't get old after the first dozen battles, then bully on you, but I wasn't born with that kind of patience. Especially considering that the Persona games are kind of notorious for frequent battles.

Having now whined myself inside-out, this is still an awesome game. If you're new to the series, buy it and check it out - you won't be disappointed. If you're a long-time fan, buy it for the Snow Queen Quest...just remember to grind yourself silly before you enter the school. Oh, and I'll post the trigger events in the comments section here.

Cheap Hasbro Classic Game Collection

I have old versions of Monopoly and Risk (originally for Windows 98) and I've kept them working up through XP, but it was time to upgrade. My review is a little mixed because there is A LOT missing from this version of Risk that was in my older version. There were two different ways to play the game and a lot options for different play within each game, whereas this has just one very basic version. It is fine, and it is the version closes to the board game, but I really liked some of the alternative versions better. So I'm disappointed in Risk and not playing it much.

The two versions of Monopoly, on the the other hand, are great. I really enjoy them and they have even more features than my old computer version. Plus, I like the updated Here and Now Monopoly version even better than the regular because it has new properties and more realistic prices. (Monopoly was due for an update...can't buy property for a couple thousand dollars anymore!)

While I mark it down for the fact that this version of Risk is a disappointment, I give it four stars because I really enjoy the Monopoly, and because the prices is very affordable for four classic games. My daughter has been having lots of fun with Band Hero & rated it as a four star game. Once she calibrated the game to our TV, she had more fun with it. She likes the music a lot better than the music that came with her Guitar Hero game. Being a Taylor Swift fan, she says even though there's only 3 Taylor Swift songs included, it's better than none. Another feature she has fun with, is customizing her band.

Speaking from a parent's point of view, the wireless guitar, wired microphone and drums have a nice weight to them, are nicely constructed, & not flimsy. I expect them to last with normal usage. The weight of the drum pedal, along with the non-skid material on the bottom, prevent the pedal from moving around the floor. She hasn't had any problems with the cymbals moving out of position & sits on an ottoman when she plays the drums. I have been playing Medal of Honor games since the PS1 days and this is my favorite iteration in the long running franchise. Mainly do in part to the excellent work of IR aiming. It does offer dead zone customization and other features to customize the controls to your liking.

I really enjoyed the single player campaign. It is short and offers a few challenges along the way. There is also ARCADE mode which takes you through the campaign in a light gun/rail shooter experience. While ARCADE mode is not as fun as the full fledged campaign it is still fun to jump in once in a while.

The graphical quality is good but not great. This is a port of a PSP game but to get it as good looking as they did on a big screen is pretty damned good. Sound is really good also. The guns sound awesome.

The online works superb and I have had no lag whatsoever in the year I have been playing this game. I do prefer Call of Duty's online but when I am taking a break from COD, I pop this game in and play it for a few hours online. Also note it is pretty impressive EA's developers were able to cram 32 person online.

I just wanted to clear some things up. I rented this game to see how "challenging" the first level was. i beat it in minutes and was really confused on what was so hard about it--especially for adults. I could see younger kids having problems, but adults who are savvy with video games shouldn't have a problem. There are arrows in the grass and little bird footsteps to tell you which way to go. When you are near an object, it will tell you what button to push. I can't say I was crazy about the controls however. The graphics weren't bad, and the game was at least 3 D. The second level was annoying... you have to hit the hearing aid to keep the dogs away, but if you don't, and forget, then you have to fight off 3 dogs...weird. I like to teach kids not to be abusive to animals...but whatever. Just wanted everyone to know this game is not as challenging as the some of the other reviewers have been claiming. The game is really well done. Its super colorful so beware if you have emo eyes. The story is really good but it takes a little to get going. The characters are very realistice and distinct and you can watch them grow and change which is always a plus. The one problem with this game is the leveling. It seems to me that the bosses are easier later in the game but early on i had to go level up for two hours before i even had a chance. This means there are a LOT of battles you will be fighting. And i mean A LOT! And for some of the game the average monsters would die in one hit but when i got to the boss i would be the one dying in one hit.

The battle system is pretty cool and it changes as the game progresses to keep it interesting. Not my favorite but i've always been a bigger fan of KH style fighting and leveling.

I would highly recomend this game for RPG buffs. Overall its a good game. Just be prepared to level. You probably wouldn't have to go back back and level if you just grinded up at the begining but i've never been a fan of that. I just want to progress with the story. Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures

Since I really enjoyed Lego Star Wars, I was pretty excited to see the release of Lego Indiana Jones. While the Lego video games don't necessarily have the greatest level design, I can't deny the fact I find these games incredibly fun. The fact that you can co-op through these games makes it all the more fun.

Indiana Jones was an excellent trilogy to bring in Lego format. Though since they've progressed with this stuff... I kind of want to see a Lego Aliens/Predator series; I think that would be amazing! Anyway, experiencing Indy in Lego format was great fun. Basically if you've gone through the Lego Star Wars stuff then you already know the name of the game. Playing the game in Story Mode can actually be pretty difficult, even for two people. Once you're done that you get the chance to go through the game in Free Play, and for me, this is where the game really shines. You get to use an array of different characters and you get to explore the maps for lost treasures and other hidden items. I don't know what it is about doing this, but I find it incredibly fun. I think the Lego games are a nice break from the usual fairly serious games I play like Half Life 2 or Mass Effect for example.

Some of the levels are a bit frustrating, but I've come to expect that when dealing with Lego developed games. They also hide some of these items very well, so they are quite a challenge to find. The hours of game play you get out of this makes it rather worthwhile in my opinion.

I really don't have much to say on this game other than if you've already got experience with Lego Star Wars, you know what to expect. If this is your first Lego game, don't get too frustrated, they don't make the puzzles completely obvious. In the end I had a lot of fun; however, I still wouldn't rank these types of games as the top games ever made. I enjoyed the control and ralley like exerience that the first Dirt game presented. This game feels too much like an arcade game for me to take seriously. They stripped out a lot of the car set-up controls, and you have to now use the time trials modes to practice on different tracks. This is confusing because the event names don't line up with the course names. I just wish there was a simple practice option before each event, instead of having to guess what track the event will be run on.

The game has also lost a lot of its international flair, and has too many 'x-game' type events.

So far I love this game to peices I only made it to level 4 so far but there are ton's of level's plus this game has CUT SCENE'S straight from the barbie movie. One of the best barbie game's I have ever played so far. The G keys are mostly targeted towards MMORPG players, but they are an awesome addition, worthy enough of any keyboard! Say your taking a second language course, or your bilingual. In Windows, what do you do to type special characters? ALT + a four digit number on the numpad. While there is software out there that can change that, the G-keys are a wounder full alternative! I could just create a macro (basically telling the computer what to do when you press the G-key), press G2 and "Ä" presto! A capitol "a" with an umlaut! I could also do "ß" "" "£" "°" and any conceivable European character! I don't know why other keyboards don't have this use full feature.

Now, for the BAD news.

The M1, M2, and M3 keys are poorly designed. Other reviewers could tell you what they do better than I can, but whenever I press one of them, they get stuck, and I'll have to grab a sharp object and force it back up.

I bought this last week for myself as an early Christmas gift to supplement the workouts I do on Wii Fit. I used it for the first time yesterday and woke up today with some SORE muscles from the amazing cardio workout I got! I'm 42 and know that as soon as I let my kids have a try, they will blow away my high scores on everything I've done, but for now, I'm the queen :) They probably will be able to coordinate their feet better than I have, I tend to find myself slowly jumping off of the mat during jumping games, since I'm looking at the tv, not my feet. But I know with more practice, I'll improve.

I love that you can use your own Mii to play the games, but the Mii is beefed up with cool clothes and shoes and the Mii body changes based upon what game you're playing (it moves more like you're moving, rather than a cartoon).

Lots of fun games that not only require a lot of cardio exercise, but some of them require teamwork in order to win - if you don't work with your partner, you'll both fail.

It's a very different workout, but definitely one that will bring results if you keep at it - and you get to have fun at the same time.

Cons:
-Price - I didn't mind it because I knew my previous experiences with Razer pretty well. If you're a serious PC gamer and want a great mouse with simplistic functions, yet great sensitivity, this is your best bet. If you aren't, well, this just isn't the mouse to buy.

-Buttons - While the feel and placement of the buttons are great, there's a lack of them. Again, I truly don't mind about this as I'm a mainly FPS person with little need for extra keys, but those who play RPGs, MMOs or RTS games mind find the mouse at fault. The first time I played this game, I was up until 4:30am without even realizing it. It's that absorbing. I beat the adventure mode in a couple of days, but unlike most video games, there's lots more to do after you win in adventure mode. There are "mini-games" that are unlocked as you progress through the levels ("Beghouled" is a hoot). There's the Zen Garden, where you can cultivate plants you win during the game, and sell them in order to buy things like new weapons and power-ups. You can play through the adventure mode again, which becomes more challenging because three plants are picked for you - sometimes sticking you with plants that are of little or no use on a particular level.

I don't think I've ever been as impressed with a game as I am with this one. It's half the price of "real" games, and twice as much fun. I suppose zombie-killing can be considered violent, but it's so cartoony I can't imagine it being a problem, even for little kids. There's a lot of charm and humor in the details - the way the plants and zombies are animated, the notes left by the zombies, etc.

Can't decide whether to buy Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 or Fifa 2010 on Wii? Comparing the 2010 PES and Fifa versions for Wii leaves little to argument: if you're looking for an authentic soccer experience, PES is far superior.

Read other Amazon reviews and you readily discern that Fifa has tried something new by opting for a kiddy, arcade feel. It's as if an ignoramus in Nintendo's or EA Sports' boardroom ordered the programmers to alter a tried and true formula. The result? Like altering a long-standing Thanksgiving tradition, EA has, by analogy, brought a tofu "turkey" to dinner, and long time Fifa fans will be drastically disappointed with EA's miserable product (though young gamers may like the simple play).

Aiming to please the casual Wii sports fan, EA revamped Fifa graphics, options, and gameplay--but all for the worse. Some may think the graphics an improvement as character faces are more life-like than ever, but objectively the players look much like an out of proportioned Quasimodo. As regarding the game's options, Fifa fans will be irate that, when playing a season, there is no option to change from 2 minutes halves. Fifa's game play also suffers from such unbearable new "features" as the shooting slow-mo (The game goes into slow-mo nearly every time a shot is made.) and the corner/free-kick green ball. (You might be letting in 3 free kicks per game on the higher levels.). Fifa did significantly correct one astonishing oversight from Fifa 2009: they assigned different buttons for ground and air passes, whereas last year's version only had one button for both passes, leaving the 2009 game unplayable except with the Gamecube controller. (Fifa 2009 with the GameCube controller is a far superior game than the newer version.)

How does PES compare? My ideal Wii football game is one that takes advantage of the Wii's point to the screen abilities, allows you to play accurate/realistic passes, challenges you with life-like computer AI, and allows you to develop a team/players over a season. PES 2010 on Wii excels in all these areas, and once you read the below tips to correct some of the ostensible errors, the true fan of the beautiful game will be loving PES 2010.

As with Fifa 2010, PES 2010 allows you to point to the screen to make a pass to any specific location. While both games still need to improve the accuracy of through balls and balls over the top (In both games you will occasionally find yourself passing to the feet/chest of a teammates instead of in front of the teammate.), it is much easier to intentionally play a pass in front of the receptor in PES than in Fifa. (If you cannot figure out how to make a long, air pass in PES 2010, know the instructions in the booklet are wrong: to play a long, air pass, double tap B in rapid succession.) The brilliantly refined invention in PES 2010 is the point and drag a teammate option which allows you to make off-the-balls runs in any direction. In other words, with the control stick you can run the ball handler in one direction, while pointing and dragging a teammate to make a run in completely the opposite direction. As a result, I can finally make "el Chino" David Silva cut outside with the ball and play the perfect through pass to inside cutting "el Guage" Villa who is perfectly on-side.) At first the controls, dribbling and zone marking on defense, will seem overly complicated--and perhaps not suitable to the casual gamer or gamers under age 10--but be patient, play a season, and the wonderful instructional videos will have you executing the inspired moves within a week. (For instance, for eternity, football games have only allowed you to play give-and-go passes where the "goer" runs straight down the field. Utilizing the Wii's capacities, PES 2010 allows give-and-go passes in any direction.) As for the AI, PES 2010 is really the first football game I have ever played where the computer, on the advanced settings, does not try to dribble down the center of the field, but rather plays the ball around the field: tic-y, tac-y. Regarding options, though PES lacks the licenses on some Premiership teams and does not carry second division teams in any of the European leagues, you can play a full season with Champions League, compete in just the Champions League, dispute a country cup with any major European/South American club or national team, or create your own team--even with Mii characters. PES also features a menu in multiple-languages, as well as commentary in multiple-languages: English, Spanish, French, or Portuguese. Loadtimes? They vary between 1sec to 15secs, perhaps due to a new story arc or branch that I reach, or new items equipped.

So, I have no technical issues.

The content? What a tremendous amount and of such high quality, and immensely replayable. Top-notch and unsurpassed voice acting with Morrigan (Claudia Black) being a standout.
Lots of cutscenes which really do flesh out the updated format of Neverwinter Nights 1. And yes, the decisions do change the storyline and quests, and no, the cutscenes are not running linear or on rails, you make the choices at cross-roads. And may I add even moving, without giving out more spoilers.

You play one main character and you get to control 3 others.
And you get to romance and seduce too, which is an additional and fun dimension.

A lot of play value : 3 classes, 4 specialisations and considering your choice of weapons to focus on, and you get to decide which ally to take along, 4 difficulty settings.

Dungeon crawls, and tactical fighting galore. Even on Normal difficulty, you are forced to pause and fight turn-key style as opposed to real-time, and quaff potions every cycle, just to survive. It is that fun.

Plus the inventory management is fun, almost perfect. I enjoy looting everything, amassing the coin to upgrade my characters, hoard items...

Yes, the cloth map is bad, and fraying, just get it stitched up and seamed.

You SHOULD also get the DownLoadable Content : Warden's Keep, just for the Storage chest.

I love Samba de Amigo. I've never played it on Dreamcast, so I can't compare it to the original, but I think it's a really great game. I'm not sure if it's my motion sensor or if it's something that's common to all games, but in some of the mini games, such as the dancing game, it's not always very accurate at picking up hand positions, which renders some of them virtually unplayable, and that's disappointing. However, since it's not crucial to the main gameplay, I don't mind that very much.

This is my review on Hello Kitty: Big City Dream's for the Nintendo DS.

I just bought this game today at Best Buy & am really enjoying it. The graphic's are great. I'm not a real big Hello Kitty fan But I do like Hello Kitty as far as the games & the show's go. Once you start playing the game your very indepent in the game & you'll get to help other character's in the game. Which is something I like doing. I like helping out. Over all this is fun game. I would recommend this game to anyone except for my guy friend's because I don't think they would play hello kitty. Over all this is a really great game. I was really suprised at the price that I bought this game for [...] because once you start to play this game you would really think it would be worth [...] but that's just me.

This game starts out a bit difficult to play due to the controls but gets better over time. I tried it for a few hours when I first got it and had to give up due to the difficult controls. Pitching is easy to get used to but the fielding takes awhile to understand and get good at. I recently picked the game back up and have figured out how to field and am playing any chance I get. It is an Arcade baseball game which works for me as all the overly realistic games I have played in the past were boring due to the game play. I've been playing video games for almost all of my 30 years of existence. This obsession started in arcades, and even now, I spend a significant amount of time both playing and creating arcade-style games for my Xbox 360. Street Fighter 4, Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion, Mushihime-sama Futari, Raiden Fighters Aces, BlazBlue, etc. Can't wait for Espgaluda II. All of these games have something in common (besides being awesome): they suck on the 360 controller's terrible D-Pad, and they demand the precision of digital control.

I'd been using the Hori Fighting Stick EX2 for two years to play these sorts of games (even Pac-Man was terrible without a joystick!). But when one of the buttons busted during Marvel vs. Capcom 2, I learned that while adequate for the job, that stick was just not built to last. When a friend attempted to repair the EX2, the way that stick was put together made the repair extremely difficult, and he wasn't able to pull it off.

I took the plunge on the HRAP EX-SE and I will never look back. Playing Futari with this stick is one of the most intense, engrossing and unforgettable experiences I will ever have while video gaming. For fighters, the stick almost felt too sensitive as first, because I was used to lesser products. I gave it a few hours and a lighter touch, and now it feels perfect.

Playing with this stick is the most natural thing imaginable; it feels like an extension of yourself. There is nothing between you and your character, nothing holding you back. You will be able to play shmups to the best of your abilities. Need to quickly move one or two pixels diagonally to avoid something? Piece of cake...if you think it, it happens. In fighting games, once you learn a move or combo properly, you'll be able to pull it off every time, unless YOU mess it up (or online lag does). You won't ever blame your controller for a botched combo again.

The stick is heavy and sturdy, so you won't have to worry about it moving around. It works with PCs and Macs just as well as it does with the 360. And, if at some point the stick or a button dies, you will be able to easily replace the dead part because that's the way this stick was constructed.

To sum up: if you play these kinds of games seriously, and you own an Xbox 360, and you are willing to spend the money, you should buy this stick. Amazon's got the best price on it that I know of, as well. Are there better sticks out there? Is the SFIV TE stick better? Now that I own this, I honestly don't know, but it makes no difference to me. I got better than what I wanted--or even imagined--with the HRAP EX-SE. I wasn't expecting much from this game as in the past Batman has not been treated well by the gaming industry.
I am happy to say that in this case they have done it right.

Its not perfect in every way, but no game is.

One thing that did bother me was the speed at which batman walks, which is terribly slow. Now, most of the time you will be running though so its not a big problem. But when you do walk its slow. And the transition from walking to running by pushing a button is a bit on the slow side as well. Truly this is not that big of a deal though.

There are LOTS of Batman Gadgets in this game, some of them you will have to use to progress through the game and some are just there for spice.

Throughout the game, Batmans costume will get cuts in it and the cape will start to look tattered. Now, this isn't like the new Wolverine game where the damage is a direct reflection of what your doing, its more like the farther you get in the game the more withered the costume looks. And each play-through I notice that its the same exact formula. You will see the same cut on your chest in the same place at the same time on a second play-through.

There are a lot of characters in the game and I love how they were treated. The art guys did a great job of making everybody look great and updated. Joker was more of a throwback here and I liked that a lot.

I believe in order to be a good review you need to understand what you will be doing in the game so this next section aims to give you an idea of how the game works.

The game is about combat, stealth, gadgets and puzzles.

Combat
You will find yourself performing many combos and cool moves, which are contextual. What I mean is, lets say your beating on a guy and you have hit him 3 or 4 times and another guy is walking up behind you and starts to attack, you can press Y (I used a 360 pad for the PC) and counter that blow even mid swing on the guy your fighting. This is because the fighting system seems to be built in such a way that it will slow down or speed up things based on how you are fighting.
The combat felt well done and Batman will be performing combos and jumps and counters almost without you doing anything but button mashing. Obviously it will be even better if you learn them, and their aren't many to learn. What you need to learn is how to use them effectively and together.

One thing that is cool is you can be fighting one guy and decide to fight another at any time by aiming the thumb-stick his way and continuing your button mashing and Batman will switch to the character your aiming at and usually do it in a sweet looking fashion. He may, for instance, perform a roundhouse like kick over one enemy and into another.

Stealth
There is a lot of stealth in the game but generally its line of sight and gargoyles. So you can crouch behind walls and such and do takedowns when an enemy walks by and you can use the gargoyles to hide from the other jokers henchmen that will come around to find the guy dead. You can also learn an ability to lower from a gargoyle and string up a guy below it. Its pretty sweet. I found myself waiting for guys just so I could do it every now and then.

Gadgets
The gadgets are fun. From swinging around levels, to unlocking doors, they were all implemented well. I don't want to give to much away, but they all work like they should and I had fun using them.

Puzzles
There are a lot of small puzzles that your going to need to do to get through the game, none of them are hard and most involve your gadgets. Again, don't want to give to much away.

There are some fun boss battles too, none of them are all that hard, they just require that you learn what to do. For instance, one boss fight you may have to dodge his rushing attack and let him hit a wall and get dizzy, then jump on his back and make him hit other things. Again, trying not to give to much away.

All in all I found the game fun. Its very short but offers replayability if you like to collect things as riddler has left you things across the entire game and some of them require gadgets that you don't have at the beginning of the game. There are some areas that you must play back through but the environment has usually changed a bit so its less annoying than some games.

If you like Batman, then this game is a no brainer easily. If your less of a fan, you might try renting it as its short and collecting stuff might not be your forte. Get more detail about Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Sonic Rivals Immediately

Sonic Rivals was one of the first games I got for my PSP. It's fun when you start, and it's pretty cool collecting cards, but then it gets really boring and repetitive. I always try to collect new cards, but I always get the same cards. And the roster is also sort of boring. Silver, Sonic, and Shadow are fast (obviously) and Knuckles is the slowest, that's all there is to know. The only character I like is Metal Sonic. The storyline is also very boring, just people chasing Eggman Nega and Eggman. That's not a big deal, though, because I don't buy video games to read them. It's rare that you find a decently polished product being released in the gaming market of today, but TES IV is a delightful exception. While not possessing the same scope or depth as its predecessor, Morrowind, Oblivion is still my favorite of the two. What it lacks in exotic architecture it makes up for in stunning visuals, a great story, and its very believable world. The quality of this game on its own is worth buying it. For those wanting more info, here's a breakdown of my thoughts on the game:

The Combat: Miles above Morrowind's. Thank the gods, Bethesda scrapped the concept that to hit in combat you must have a certain stat level! This means no more rapid clicking that, despite being perfectly aimed, only occasionally results in a hit. Oblivion's system allows for more energetic, cinematic, and strategic combat as its less focused on being able to hit your opponent as it is about how much damage you really do. In otherwords, you can hit that big bad troll from level 1, but your damage isn't going to make a dent without thought being behind your attack. Still, there is plenty of room for improvement, and admittedly the system still isn't perfect. It can still be more than a bit clunky at times.

The Visuals: Oblivion is closer to Lord of the Rings in it's visuals than Morrowind's exotic and often frighteningly strange designs. Everything from the creatures, buildings, armor and peoples take a more realistic look this time around. Trust me, there's still that unique flavor to be found in some of the baddies you fight, but over all the land looks more like it was grafted out of Gondor rather than Vivec. This does result in Morrowind passing Oblivion in this area, as where the former game had a large variety of cultural designs, the latter only presents "big city, snow city, plains city, hilly city, and coastal city" as the largest distinctions between towns. You'll find most of the structures looking alike, though there are fairly obvious differences in many of them.

The Story: I loved playing the main quest line. Loved it. The voice acting, the dangerous missions. All fun. Can't say much more.

If I had any true gripes, it'd be the few, more nitpick oriented things like the lack of diversity in the Dunmer's voices, how beggars can suddenly change voices when asked certain questions, etc. Over all, this game is more than worth picking up. And the Mods out there. Trust me, they not only fix a lot of this game's shortcomings, but they also add so much more to it. Guitar Hero World Tour is beleive me VERY fun to play, whether your singing, playing guitar, bass, or drums. This game has an awsome collection of songs to play (i'll admit, better than Rock Bands collection of songs). The graphics however still can't compete with Rock Bands, solid visuals. Anyway's Guitar Hero decided to jump on the "band" wagon, by adding drums and microphones to their bundles with World Tour. They've also added the create a rocker feature origionated by Rock Band, but it's not all that great. You can change/buy their clothes, change the hairstyle, and thier instruments, but no matter how much editing you do, your character's NEVER gonna come out the way you want them too. Also new in the career mode, is that once you pick a gig, you have to play the whole setlist without stopping. I like it, because in a real rock concert they can't just stop in between songs, they have to keep going, song after song, which makes the game a bit more realistic. Don't listen to the haters, this is an amazing game. I ride dirtbikes in real life and have played every Mx game since ATV Offroad Fury on the PS2. People are bashing this game, saying that it is impossible to control when in reality, the Reflex system adds a whole new dimension. Think about it, if you threw your leg over a motorcycle in real life, would you be racing at a pro level in 5 minutes? NO. The learning curve is steeper than it has been in the past, but once you get the hang of the new controls, you will find that the motorcycle actually behaves alot more like it's real world counterpart. This challenge makes it feel that much better when you nail a long rhythm section in a supercross race, or rail a freshly dug berm in a national. There are fewer tracks and freeride areas than in previous games, but the thought and time that went into these aspects are mindblowing. The terrain deformation is AWESOME, its so much more realistic that as a race goes on, lines in the track change, it keeps you on your toes. My only real complaint is that there is a pretty heavy emphasis on winning truck and buggy races, which is an obvious attempt to bring in some of the Motorstorm / Dirt fans. Rainbow should lose this stuff for the next version and put all their focus onto perfecting MX/ATV racing. Overall, it is a game that I will playing and perfecting for a long time, and it will only get better when downloadable tracks become available. Don't buy into the people that hate this game, they just have short attention spans and need immediate gratification.
